Brimonidine eye drops have been a staple in glaucoma treatment for years. This drug is also used in an off-label manner by physicians to help control pupil dilation. By administering brimonidine prior to being exposed to low light, patients’ physiological response is minimized. These drops are also commonly used to temporarily reduce acute ocular redness.
